# Notebook drawer

The **Notebook drawer** is a persistent scratchpad that lives across your entire study history — not scoped to a single cubelet or session.

## Opening the drawer

Click the Notebook icon in the top-right corner of the dock area. The drawer slides in from the right. Click the icon again, or click outside the drawer, to close it.

## What gets saved

Notes you write in the Notebook are yours and persist across sessions. They are not cubelet-specific — everything you write goes into a single running notebook at `/notebooks`.

To review, search, or organize your notes outside the dock, navigate directly to **Notebooks** in the left sidebar (visible under the Experiments group for eligible accounts).
