# Holding the meeting

*Sharing the link, checking your microphone, running the call, and the minutes that outlive it.*

## The meeting link

Once the board is ready, its page shows a meeting link — a web address ending in `/rb/` and a long random code.

**Anyone holding that link can open the meeting page and read the dossier.** No login, no plan, no invitation. The unguessable code *is* the key.

Treat the link like a door key, not a bookmark. If your document is sensitive, only paste the link where you'd be comfortable pasting the document itself. There is no way to un-share a link once it's out.

The link only works while the board is ready. Before prep finishes, it shows a not-found page.

## The lobby

Click **Join the meeting** and you land in a lobby before the call starts. The lobby does two things:

* **Checks your microphone.** Pick which mic to use and watch the level meter move while you speak. If the browser blocked microphone access you'll see *"Microphone unavailable — check browser permissions."*
* **Shows the seats.** Every panelist has a tile. Seats that haven't arrived yet read *"joins at start"* — that's normal, not a fault. The lobby re-checks every few seconds.

## In the meeting

You get two controls, and that's deliberate:

* **Mute / Unmute**
* **Leave**

Conrad chairs. One panelist speaks at a time — the floor is passed, never shared, so two reviewers can't talk over each other. A live transcript scrolls as people speak.

**To end it, tell the panel you'd like to adjourn.** Conrad closes the meeting and the floor locks, so no reviewer speaks after the adjournment. Clicking **Leave** shows *"Meeting ended."* and then takes you back to the board page.

Panelists you built yourself review the document but do **not** speak in the live meeting. They file positions in the dossier; the six built-in seats are the ones with voices.

## The minutes

The live transcript disappears when the call ends. The **Minutes** on the board page are the record that survives it: every turn, who said it, and when.

If the meeting's audio was archived, the minutes double as its index — an audio player sits above the list, and clicking the timestamp on any line plays from the moment it was said.

A board with no recording just shows the plain list of turns. That's the ordinary case during and right after a meeting, not an error.
