# Build your own panelist

*The bench: your own reviewer, bound to one domain, in the register you choose.*

The four built-in counsel all read AI governance. If you need a seat they don't cover, build one. Your saved panelists live on **the bench**, on the Review Board landing page, and can be seated on any board you convene.

> Bots you built. Each one answers from a single domain — it reads that domain's cubelets and cites the document, or it says nothing.

## What you set

| Field            | What it does                                                                    |
| ---------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Display name** | What the panel calls it — for example *Dana Whitfield*.                         |
| **Seat title**   | The seat it holds — for example *HIPAA Counsel*.                                |
| **Domain**       | The one body of knowledge it answers from. This is the field that matters most. |
| **Concern**      | In your own words, what this reviewer is watching for.                          |
| **Register**     | How plainly it talks.                                                           |

## One domain, and only one

A bench panelist is tied to exactly one domain and reads that domain's Cubelets. It can't answer from a second framework, and it can't answer from general knowledge. Under each bot on the bench you'll see how many Cubelets back it — for example *61 cubelets · ai-governance-iso42001*. That number is the reviewer's whole world.

A bot whose domain has no Cubelets behind it has nothing to reason from, so pick a domain with real content in it.

## Register

Register changes how the reviewer *talks*, never how hard it looks:

* **Plain** — short sentences, no jargon. For a reader who doesn't work in compliance.
* **Practitioner** — how a working colleague would put it in a review meeting. The default.
* **Counsel** — formal, obligations named, exposure spelled out.

All three are held to the same evidence rule as the built-in panel: cite the passage, or drop the point.

## Seating one

Your bench panelists appear as choices in the convene form alongside the four built-in counsel. Tick them like any other seat.

**They review; they don't speak.** A panelist you built files positions in the dossier but does not join the live voice meeting. Only the six built-in seats — Conrad, Ms. Morgan, and the four counsel — have voices.
