# Take your gap diagnostic

*What the PJRC Formation Portrait is, how it gets its first reading, and how to run a full diagnostic.*

### Your Formation Portrait

cubelet.ai reads your reasoning along four dimensions — **Pattern, Judgment, Relationship, and Creativity (PJRC)** — rather than just checking what facts you know. The **Formation Portrait** on Home shows where you stand across all four.

| **Judgment**     | Choosing well when the right answer isn't obvious   |
| **Relationship** | Coordinating across people, agents, and contexts    |
| **Creativity**   | Generating non-obvious options under constraints    |

### How the Portrait gets its first reading

When you join — whether through an invite link or after purchasing a plan — you pick your certification focus during setup (on the welcome page or the sign-up form). That selection seeds an **estimated reading** for your Portrait, drawn from the baseline PJRC profile for your role cluster.

On your first visit to Home, the Portrait is already populated with this estimate. It reflects where people in your role typically start — not a measurement of you personally.

Below the portrait bars you'll see:

If your Portrait shows **"Formation portrait · awaiting reading — No reading yet"**, the estimated reading wasn't set during setup. Run the full diagnostic at The Scaffold to fill it in.

### Role cluster baselines

Each role cluster ships with a starting profile:

| Security Control Assessor (CMMC / RMF)     | 40 | 20 | 25 | 15 |
| IT Governance & Audit Professional (ISACA) | 35 | 30 | 20 | 15 |

| VulnOps Practitioner                       | 40 | 20 | 25 | 15 |

For example, a Security Control Assessor opens at Pattern 40 · Judgment 20 · Relationship 25 · Creativity 15 — weighted toward structural recognition over creative generation, reflecting how CMMC and RMF assessment work actually breaks down. IT Governance & Audit opens slightly higher on Judgment (30) given the policy-interpretation demands of that role.

These numbers are the floor, not the ceiling. The diagnostic measures your actual profile and replaces the estimate.

### Running the full diagnostic

On **Home**, click **Update diagnostic ↗**. This opens **The Scaffold** (`scaffold.cubelet.ai`) in a new tab — a separate app that runs the PJRC assessment through scenario-based questions.

When you finish, return to Home — your Portrait reflects the real reading from your responses, replacing the estimate.

You can retake the diagnostic any time from the same link. Your Portrait always shows your most recent reading.

### What you get back

A **gap profile**: where you're strong and where the gaps are across Pattern, Judgment, Relationship, and Creativity. From there, head into the Catalog to start closing the gaps it surfaces.
